This meme is fun. This is E, from ayadec, still awaiting a letter from moirariordan, so that will be coming.

1) Edwin Venturi- Life With Derek- Okay, so you all know I love him, but this kid is amazing. I always have a soft spot for awkward kids (maybe cause I'm a bit awkward myself.) And Ed definitely has that quality, maybe more than most people can handle. He does have that annoying middle kid tv cliche of liking money and always having it, but as long as the writers were going to do it, they handle it semi-well. But another thing I love about Edwin is that he's really quite self-confident. He's got an odd sense of fashion lately (what happened to the mini-Derek look he used to rock and why replace it with Hawaiian shirts, I'll never know), and he likes to spy, and he tries all these schemes to make money, and he thinks his doctor jokes are funny, but overall--Edwin knows who he is and doesn't care that its a little wierd. He just is himself. I felt that episode where he lost his confidence was kind of OOC, because where else is he like that? He knows he's kinda black sheepish compared to the other kids cause he's wierd, but they love and accept him so he doesn't even care about that.
2) Emily Davis- Life With Derek- As best friends go, shes a good one. She has an actual character, and the best part? Unlike any other tv best friend, she calls Casey out on things. It's not like "OMG Casey is perfect, I will defend her to the end" which is what any other tv best friend (at least in a kids show) would do. Sure, she used to obsess over Derek, but she outgrew that. Which is also unusual for a tv character with that trait. Really, Emily broke the best friend mold. In a very good way.
3) Ellie Nash- Degrassi: The Next Generation- Its hard to explain why I like her. Because there's not really a defining moment that says "thats why I like Ellie", and theres not really any specific scene that I can point out and go "this is a good reason to like her." That said, I like how she's transformed over the the years, and I like the scene where she throws a drumstick at Manny's head. And I just plain like her.
4) Emma Nelson- Degrassi: The Next Generation- Not a fan. Honestly. She has her moments, like when she takes Manny back as a friend and stuff. And back in the early days when she had her little movements or whatever was cool. But she's just kind of a...bitch. Honestly. I don't know. Though she's a testament to the fact that even if you aren't easy to look at when you are twelve, you still can be when you are twenty. Really though. She just is negative all the freaking time. And she isn't that great of a friend, except to Manny. Her one redeeming scene during the past season was when Kim attacked Darcy for wearing her purity ring and she and Manny backed her up.
5) Eric Matthews- Boy Meets World- Love him. Though anyone who thought his interest in girls wasn't a cover up for his interest in Jack probably wasn't paying very close attention. Seriously, though. I love Eric! I honestly prefer him in the later seasons when he's crazy, to his nice big brother guy from the first few seasons. And he's kind of the glue that keeps the group together.
I'll probably do that music meme over the weekend.
Oh! This is surprisingly the first time I have used this Boy Meets World tag.

Edwin. *Messes his hair* Edwin's awesome. The Hawaiian shirts, I'm hoping, are a phase. Maybe even a parallel to George's guayaberas. It actually fits into the middle child "Hey look at me!" thing that can come up. I actually didn't have a problem with him losing confidence, because have you ever noticed that confidence can go out the window at the worst possible times? It was like, he was aching for attention and the second he actually had it, he froze. Happens to me all the time.
And I completely agree about Emma. She's just so damn sanctimonious. Can't deal.
But at least Ellie and Emily rock.
What's a guayabera?
I just did D, its up now.
I must do my letter.
