Hey y'all! Apparently Drake rates higher on my "This is the most amazing thing, EVER" scale than Paris because here is a picspam from yesterday.

I'm starting with concert pics, and then going to Meet and Greet pics, even though that isn't chronological, because I want to torture you guys. LOL, or just save the best for last. But the best thing about my day BESIDES Drake? I WON a three day, two night vacation to either Orlando or Las Vegas. HOW crazy is THAT? I was just walking along, looking for a water fountain, and this lady stopped me, and was like "you want to try to win a vacation?" and I was all "sure why not". I never win anything, and I'd already won passes to the Meet and Greet, just two days prior, so I KNEW I was going to lose. So I was supposed to spin this wheel, like an upright version of like Wheel of Fortune type thing. So I gave it a spin, and started filling out the paper she wanted. (You know, phone number, address, that sort of thing). And I'm just filling it out, not even looking at the wheel, because I KNOW I'm going to lose. I just know. So I'm busy writing and I hear the wheel stop, but I keep writing, again, I KNOW its a loss. And the lady goes "look, you won!" and I look up, and there it is, right there on the win spot! I'm just like "No freaking way." So yeah, am trying to decide whether I go to Orlando or Vegas, and who I should take with me.

Drake pictures (and more!) right this way! )

Man, it has been FOREVER! I took SOOO many pictures it took forever to find the motivation to post any. I really did go! Look: Eiffel towerIt is so beautiful. As is Notre Dame and a hundred other things. But I failed my "I won't blog again until Paris" goal, BECAUSE guess what?

I GET TO MEET DRAKE BELL FRIDAY!

See, he's doing a concert at Six Flags San Antonio, so my sister and I are driving the 3.5 hours there and back to see the show. But about an hour ago on Twitter, he had a contest: first three people to @reply him got two Meet and Greet passes. Well guess who @ replied him? ME! And I got passes! AND I"M MEETING DRAKE FREAKING BELL FRIDAY!

Expect more pictures up sporadically because I just don't have the attention span to put up all of them. Plus I decided not to show you all of them because a)most of them are of Paris housing, which all looks the same and is everywhere, b)there are 700 and some are really crappy or stupid and c)I'd rather give you Eiffel Tower spams and Notre Dame spams and spams of other cool places that we saw, like Chartres cathedral, Sacre Coeur basilica, the gardens of Claude Monet's house and the exterior of it, a couple of chateaux's, the palace at Versailles, the outside of the Moulin Rouge (we saw a show there, but they take your cameras), and the Louvre.

Oh, and Fandom in-joke spam. because Paris managed to have two or three fandomy moments, haha!

Oh and for those of you who I haven't told because you aren't on Twitter: I GOT A NEW JOB! Yeah, you know how I hated my old one and it made me hot and dehydrated and paid crap and never gave me many hours? Well I got a new one as the night auditor at a hotel: FULL TIME, a set schedule, and no getting up early! Pay is still crap, but OMG full time, so oh well, right? LOL. Plus I basically get paid to hang out on here and watch movies, because there is very little to do.

The first five people to comment to this post get to request a drabble featuring a character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their writing ability.

Please be gentle, and leave me with a character I know a fair amount. Please?

Kay, so upwards of two years ago, I worked at Kohl's. And the coolest thing they ever played on Kohl's Radio was "You Can Call Me Al", by Paul Simon. Which, okay, I like that song, but mostly it was the only thing they played that I liked. Well, today I was shopping for jeans, because all of my three pairs of jeans are at least three years old and I have a pair with holes in places you do NOT want holes, so I pretty much HAD to buy some. Especially since I wear jeans to work and school and well, you know JEANS. So I went in Kohl's, which while not successful in the jeans arena, YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY WERE PLAYING!!!

"I Know" by Drake Bell.

I was psyched that they would play Drake, but sort of pissed that they never did when I WORKED THERE. You know?

Anyway, tonight in History class we learned about a man nicknamed "Sockless Jerry" and I have no idea what he did because once I heard his name my mind made the connection "Jerry=Spencer, Spencer=Crazy socks and Socko" and well, that was that. So I'm probably going to end up answering an essay question with something about iCarly on my exam next week. LOL.

So I've been in Arkansas since late Wednesday. It's been...okay. I haven't actually killed a family member yet, which, since I've been spending every waking moment (and every sleeping one too, I guess) with them is pretty much amazing. I've got some memes to catch up on when I get home, and I miss people back home and I pretty much wish I'd never come with them on this trip.

But since I did, at least I got new clothes and purse and stuff. Because I'm pretty much bored stiff. I miss you guys too! Since I have just enough time to scan through my flist at night, and don't actually have time to you know, comment!

Anyway,

[info]secret_plasures

has a picspam from a Drake concert up! Everyone should go see it, it really will make you want to see a Drake concert.

Also, Mitchell Musso did the weather in Hawaii and it was the first time he was actually adorable and I didn't want to slap him so if you can track that video down (I'm pretty sure youtubing Mitchell weather Hawaii should do the trick) you might like it.

And one last bit of "news": LJ is being annoying. But, you already knew that.

I have good news and bad news. I just watched the first part of the Drake interview on TRL.

The bad news: according to Drake, there is no Drake and Josh in New York. He said it's on the imdb and everything but he's never heard anything official about it. Yet it's on the thing from Josh's description on the KCA site so I really don't know what to believe. The interviewer lady asked if he would be interested and he said yeah, he and Josh still hang out a lot and he would love to work together again.

So who knows.

THE GOOD NEWS: Drake has a DOUBLE ALBUM coming out! AAAAAA! How cool is that?

They just talked about Super Hero. They gave an overview and played an incredibly funny clip. When they come back he's supposed to pick a girl for some contest in which the winner gets to take a picture with Drake based "purely on her cake decorating skills". Um okay. They called it "Drake's Cakes" and I seem to remember someone saying there are actual snack cakes with that name. I wonder how much MTV is paying for that!

It's over now, so I'll leave you all with this: he's got all this facial hair! A nicely trimmed beard AND a mustache. I wrote a poem about a mustache once but I was thinking of those old-fashioned Monopoly Man handlebars when I did. Not that that is one bit relevant. And he's wearing his glasses. It's not a bad picture but it's nothing like the Drake we're used to. Not that we've never seen him with glasses, but with both? Anyway. He looks much more his age!
